Ida Brown, LMHC

Ida Brown, LMHC, earned her Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New College of Florida, Sarasota. At Coastal Health, Brown uses cognitive behavioral therapy and family therapy techniques in her work with children and adults. Brown is trained in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy as well as Gottman’s Bringing Baby Home curriculum which supports new parents. Brown has also earned certifications in treatment of perinatal mood disorders from Postpartum Support International and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Before joining Coastal Health, Brown worked with the First Coast Child Protection Team, practiced in outpatient mental health facilities, and conducted in-home therapy with families.
