Joan McLoud, PT

Joan McLoud, PT is an accomplished physical therapist with a diverse background and extensive expertise in rehabilitation and patient care. Her educational journey has taken her across continents, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Hogeschool Enscheda in Enschede, The Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.

McLoud’s commitment to her profession is emphasized by her dedication to continuing education and professional development. She has earned certifications in Electric Therapy Point System (ETPS), enhancing her ability to provide innovative and effective treatments for her patients, as well as CPR. Additionally, she is trained in Graston Technique, McConnell Taping, the Body Balance for Performance Golf Program and general personal fitness.

McLoud’s career has been marked by a series of challenging and rewarding roles. Her experience includes serving as a Senior Physical Therapist at Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute. In this capacity, McLoud shouldered the responsibilities of outpatient care, specializing in brace fitting and crutch training, training new employees and facilitating effective communications with doctors and patients.

Prior to her role at the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute, McLoud served as a Co-Manager of the Outpatient Clinic at Brooks Rehab in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This leadership position allowed her to further develop her managerial and organizational skills while maintaining her commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
