Patrick Burns, D.O.

Dr. Patrick Burns is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. His undergraduate degree in biochemistry is from Florida State University, Tallahassee, and he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His postgraduate education includes an internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He studied preventative medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Burns completed his residency in anesthesiology at the Medical College of Georgia. He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Burns’ training encompasses all aspects of current interventional techniques. He is also one of the leading experts on radio frequency and the treatment of pain syndromes in the Southeast.

He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the Duval County Medical Society. He is also owner of Southeast Anesthesia and Spine Specialists. Prior to joining Coastal Health, he spent five years with the Jacksonville Spine Center.
