Alan Miller, M.D.

Dr. Alan Miller is a physician leader of Coastal Health and is board certified in interventional pain management and physical medicine and rehabilitation. He earned his bachelor’s and doctorate degrees, in 2000 and 2004 respectively, in biochemistry from the University of California at Davis. His residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation was at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and his fellowship training was in interventional pain management at the same institution.

Dr. Miller has authored both peer-reviewed medical publications as well as published his own 2009 book, The 3 Minute Musculoskeletal & Peripheral Nerve Exam, for teaching physicians, residents and medical students.

Dr. Miller is a member of the American Pain Society, the Interventional Spine Intervention Society, the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
