Dr. Scott T. Miles, M.D.

Dr. Scott T. Miles is a board-certified physician with more than 35 years of experience in medicine, specializing in addiction medicine, behavioral health, women’s health, and aviation medicine. 

Dr. Miles earned his medical degree from UHS/The Chicago Medical School after completing his undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry at the University of Indianapolis. He went on to complete his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Over the course of his career, he has transitioned from private practice in OB/GYN to a focus on addiction medicine, behavioral health, and functional medicine. 

He is board certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and holds additional certifications in obstetrics and gynecology (emeritus), thermology, IV chelation therapy, and IV nutrition therapy. He has extensive leadership experience as a medical director at multiple behavioral health and addiction treatment centers and continues to play a key role in advancing patient care at Coastal Health. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Miles is a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner and FAA-designated HIMS AME, providing specialized care for pilots and aviation professionals. He is also an experienced airline transport pilot and flight instructor. 

Dr. Miles is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is an active member of several state and national medical associations.
