Dr. Yusuf A. Mosuro, M.D.

Yusuf Mosuro, MD, MBA ,is a board-certified pain management physician and anesthesiologist with Coastal Health. Dr. Mosuro earned his Physician Executive Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee, and his medical degree from the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeria.

His residency training included internships in internal medicine at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and in general surgery, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology at General Hospital in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Mosuro completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, where he furthered his expertise in pain management.

Board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and anesthesiology pain medicine, Dr. Mosuro pursued specialization through a fellowship in pain management anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also has a certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Prior to Coastal Health, Dr. Mosuro has served as a pain management anesthesiologist at National Spine and Pain Centers in Maryland. He also held positions at Outreach Diagnostic Clinic/Bellaire Chiropractic and Rehabilitation in Houston, Texas, and the Department of Anesthesiology at Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in Rockville, Maryland. Earlier in his career, he served as an assistant professor of anesthesiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and practiced as an anesthesiologist at Anesthesia Associates of Memphis, Tennessee.
