Haylie Whittenburg, APRN, FNP-C

Haylie Whittenburg, APRN, FNP-C, is a board certified family nurse practitioner specializing in orthopedics. Whittenburg’s experience is in urgent and emergent care, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses, as well as providing clinical care in high-pressure emergency department settings.

Whittenburg earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Florida State College in Jacksonville, Florida.

Licensed by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Drug Enforcement Administration, Whittenburg holds certifications in advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.

Her career in various healthcare settings includes local roles at UF Health Orthopedic Surgery, Amelia Medical Care, Minute Clinic, UF Health Emergency Department and St. Vincent’s Emergency Department. At UF Health Orthopedic Surgery, she collaborated closely with surgeons on sports medicine and trauma services, assisting in various surgical procedures and managing pre and post-operative patient care, including: various knee and shoulder arthroscopies, total joint replacement (knee, shoulder) and fractures. Outside of her professional commitments, Whittenburg and her husband prioritize raising their three children, fostering an active lifestyle and engaging in sports. During her leisure time, she enjoys baking and exploring new recipes, as well as finding relaxation in assembling puzzles.
