Arthritis

Arthritis is another term for joint inflammation. When joints become stiff or painful because of swelling and tenderness, you may be diagnosed with Arthritis. There are many types of Arthritis, including the common Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Gout. Testing and imaging may be required to determine the kind of arthritis in the body. Arthritis pain or discomfort typically increases with age, especially if untreated. Certain anti-inflammatory diets and over-the-counter and prescribed medications may be helpful. Additionally, your provider may suggest physical therapy or even surgery, such as joint replacement or repair.
