Neuroma

A neuroma happens when nerve tissues thicken due to swelling after an injury or surgery. They can happen on any part of the body.  One type, Morton’s neuroma, commonly occurs in the foot between the third and fourth toes. This condition can give the sensation of a pinched nerve, leading to feeling pinching, stinging, or numbness in the foot.
