Discography

Spinal discography is an injection technique for patients who have not responded to other non-surgical treatments or diagnostics for their back pain. The spinal discogram is designed to induce pain in a sensitive disc to help pinpoint the origin of the pain. We use local anesthesia and then inject sterile liquid into each disc one at a time. You report pressure, pain, or no pain. We then use a post-discogram CT to look at the disc that is causing you pain and determine the best course of treatment.
